Chocolate Chip-Roasted Flax Cookies

 
Chocolate Chip-Roasted Flax Cookies
Makes 48. One serving=2 cookies.

Ingredients
Prep Time:10 minutes
Bake Time: 10-12 minutes

1 cup (250 ml) shortening
1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar
1/2 cup (125 ml) granulated sugar
1 tsp. (5 ml) vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups (500 ml) all-purpose flour
1 tsp. (5 ml) baking soda
1/2 tsp/ (2 ml) salt
1 cup (250 ml) chocolate chips
1/4 cup (50 ml) ground Roasted Flax For Nutrition

Directions
Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius or 350 degress farenheit. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugars. Add vanilla and beaten eggs.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips and ground flax. Add creamed mixture.

Drop by teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet leaving 5 cm (2-inches) between cookies. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until golden. Remove from sheet and cool.
