
Roasted Flax Falafel
Serves 4-6 (1 serving= 3 small pattys).
Ingredients
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
1 can (500 g) chick peas (garbanzo beans)
1 tsp. (5 ml) cumin
1 tsp. (5 ml) ground corriander
1 tbsp. (15 ml) lemon juice
1 tbsp. (15 ml) ground pepper
2 tsp. (10 ml) salt
2 tbsp. (30 ml) olive oil
1/4 cup (50 ml) Roasted Flax For Nutrition
1/2 tsp. (2 ml) cayenne pepper
1/4 cup (50 ml) fresh cilantro
1/4 cup (50 ml) fresh parsley
2 garlic cloves
1/4 cup (50 ml) onion, chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender for 1 minute. Roll mixture into 2-3 inch balls or small pattys. Place balls/pattys on a cookie sheet and into the oven for approximately 10 minutes until pattys are golden brown. Serve Roasted Flax For Nutrition falafels with a sandwich, pita or meal.
