CECIL WERNER- CEO & President

As CEO and President of CanMar Grain Products Ltd., Cecil has been instrumental in creating corporate strategy and construction of a new food-grade facility to process roasted flax seed for human consumption.

Prior to starting CanMar Grain Products Ltd., Cecil has 27 years of experience exporting agricultural products. He has worked in various companies including Saskatchewan Agriculture as Director of Marketing and Economics, Sherritt Gordon Mines, and most recently as President of WestCan Alfalfa where in 1989 he received a Canada Export Achievement Award as a result of introducing a new product into the Japanese market.

Cecil has been a director of various companies including Neptune Bulk Terminals and Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership (STEP). He is currently Vice-Chairman of The Prairie Feed Resource Centre, University of Saskatchewan , Saskatoon .

Cecil is a graduation of the University of Saskatchewan in Agricultural Economics.

Duncan Werner- Operations Manager

As Operations Manager of CanMar Grain Products Ltd., Duncan has been instrumental in co-developing the corporate strategy and product develop of roasted flax seed for human consumption.

Duncan is responsible for overall business operation and assists with corporate marketing and sales.

Duncan brings over 10 years of International Agri-Food and Marketing and Logistics experience to CanMar.

Born and raised in Regina , Saskatchewan , Duncan graduated in 1995 from the University of Regina with a degree in Business Administration as well as becoming a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in 1998.
